Annual AGM, Pizza and Avalanche Presentation

Notice of Rocky Mountain Section Annual General Meeting, Pizza Night and Social Event - December 4, 2019 at Origins in Spring Creek



This year the Rocky Mountain Section is trying something a little different for its AGM. The AGM will start at 6:00 pm, followed by free pizza (members only).  We need at least 20 members for quorum so please come out to hear what your Executive has been up to, socialize with other RMS members, and enjoy some pizza (did we mention it's free?)!  Following the AGM and Pizza,the Section will host a regular social event.

Free Pizza - Following the AGM, enjoy some free pizza and socialize with other members.  We'll start the set up for the Social Event around 7:15 pm.

Update your Avalanche Knowledge with ACMG Ski Guide Doug Latimer!

Join us for a presentation by Doug Latimer, ACMG Ski Guide, avalance forecaster, author of the new Ebook Avalanche!  The Guide's Guide to Safer Travel in the Mountains, and the Lead Winter Guide for the Alpine Club of Canada.  Doug will cover topics such as new forecasting tools, interpretation and reliability of snow tests, human factors that influence avalanche safety, and the practical differences between risk and hazard.  A must attend for anyone planning to travel in the back-country this winter.
